Peer support partnering cancer survivors with current patients.

Loneliness is one of the major emotional pitfalls of having cancer. Even with loving friends and family and giving caretakers, cancer patients may come to feel that no one understands what they’re going through.

In the belief that no one should have to face cancer feeling isolated, ICSN launched a buddy program, which pairs cancer patients with cancer survivors. Now, matched with someone who not only understands what they’re undergoing but who beat the disease, the cancer patients in the program no longer feel so alone – and they are also more hopeful.

We are all in this battle together and just speaking with someone who has endured and survived the process and the treatments, is a healthy prescription for all of us.
